THE FLAMING LIPS - The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, 6/17/11

I was so stoked when I heard they were going to play in Vegas at The Cosmopolitan, Blvd Pool on the roof!  I bought tickets the day they went on sale, ends up the Cosmo sent out promo deals to stay for the weekend and see the show for free,  Mike V/Bruce, The Rollers and Herm all scored free rooms!  Brian flew out and met Tommy and I.  The show was awesome as usual.

We pre-partied at Mike V and Bruces place  50ish floor, super plush room with a nice view!

Bruce workin the vinyl.

This venue is nice, they cover the rooftop pool and set up stage, they have a huge backdrop screen over the strip so people down below can watch and hear the show!

Hung out poolside the next day, the stage was set up by those palm trees.

Looking a little beat up! Could call it a Skunk Bros 20th reunion!

 FROG

Tommy and I checked the Vegas craigslist before we drove out, met a cool dude in Henderson with a bunch of BMX.  We checked the stuff out but didn't really have $$ to buy bikes before the show, so we told him we would be back after winning the jackpot.  Ends up I hit for a G on the way out and Tommy did good too!  Hit the dude up on the way out, I picke up this 1990 Redline, mainly grabbed it for the cranks and bars, also got some 48 spoke white Z rims, stoked!

Vic Murphy

So I take my son to one of the many festivals that happen this time of year at Tempe Town Lake.  I was not really sure what this one was all about, it was called Cityscape and there was suppose to be some extreme sports going down.  We rolled down on our bikes, it was pretty crowded, after a bit I see a girl with a I Love Dirt Bros shirt on!  After walking around I find the full Dirt Bros booth and ask if Vic was around, he was out and about in the crowd.  So I end up running into Vic, he was there to spread the word on religion and was doing some demos.  I snapped a couple of pics and we talked for a bit. I ended leaving and then coming back with a pic that Devin took of Vic at Thrasherland back in 91 or so.  Found Vic again and rapped for about a half hour.  I had not seen him since we stayed at the House of Dirt back in 91 or so, he fully remembered us staying there.  Had him sign the snap devin took.  He was stoked on my Dirt Bros Skyway TA set up and has it posted on his Facebook page.

March of a 1000 Flaming Skeletons 2010 - OKC

The 2010 March of 1000 Flaming Skeletons!  Me and my bro hit it up again this year, another awesome time, little bit of travel difficulties but we made it there and eventually back home.  We had a new recruit, my bro's friend Jeff.  We showed up early and did the rock n roll parking lot skeleton style, improvised beer cooler and all.  Got to hang with Wayne. Lots of cool parade entries, zombies, sexy evil chicks, Michael Meyers was cool.  I don't think anyone burned in the parade, but one skeleton girl told me to look out cause I almost scorched her.  Lots of smoke and tons of screaming parade goers.
 The King Diamond of skeletons.

This dude was the Grand Marshall, Count Gregore.

My brother gave me shit cause I said I would be a furry if chosen, kinda glad that I wasn't.

Wayne was running around all day.

 The pre March rally.

Wayne rolled the whole parade in the space bubble.

Tour de Fat - Tempe - 10/09/2010

Tempe was blown out this year!  Larger area and tons of people!  Fell on Castle's birthday, he did up some custom shirts that could be seen everywhere!  Tommy, Toad and myself were in the finals for the Slow Ride contest but the Skunk Bros could not take the belt home.  Can't wait till next year!

Nice Skunk Bros shout out in this article!

Tour de Fat - San Diego 10/02/2010

Hit up the Tour de Fat in San Diego again this year!  Rolled the triple decker out and hooked up with Brian and Vid.  Brian, Ryder and myself had to chase down the bike parade but eventually caught up with everyone.  Made it to the finals but could not take home the Slow Ride belt.  I didn't take too many photos.

 Brian and Ryder.

Vid was in to the tire toss.
